Bokfontein is one of our Chrome and Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) mine that is located within the south-western limb of the Bushveld Complex in the North West Province of South Africa. With its prospecting license; NW30/5/1/1/2/12075PR, Bokfontein covers portions 14, 33, 34, 36, 40, 43, 75, 131, 132, 133, 198, 199, 210, 215, 217, 245, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 320 and 321 of the Bokfontein (448JQ) farm. The Bokfontein covers a total area of 154.3361 hectares (ha) of farm area subject to a prospecting right (PR).
The targeted chromite layers are confined to the Critical Zone and are sub-divided into Lower, Middle, and Upper groups. The Lower Group (LG) contains seven chromite reefs, the Middle Group (MG) four chromite reefs, and the Upper Group (UG) two chromite reefs in the western BC.
